Exotic wood flooring in Wrocław — teak, merbau, iroko and premium wood

We import, select and install exotic wood floors. Teak, merbau, iroko, doussie and American walnut are available as planks, parquet and herringbone, with construction matched to underfloor heating and installation in Wrocław and across Poland.

Comfort Plus exotic floors

Wood with its own colour, character and history

Teak, merbau, iroko and doussie are not substitutes for oak. Each species has its own grain, hardness, natural oiliness and ageing behaviour. That is why we choose exotic flooring not only by colour, but also by construction, format, use conditions and availability of a specific batch.

Comfort Plus has worked with exotic woods from the beginning. We combine experience in importing and selecting wood with engineered board production, installation and renovation of older exotic floors.

Exotic wood has its own colour

The most interesting effect appears when the wood can show its natural tone, grain and patina.

Why exotic wood?

A unique material for a consciously designed interior

Exotic woods are chosen less often than oak today, but that is why they create more individual floors. The key is the right species, verified batch and technology matched to the project.

01

Unique colour palette

From honey teak and olive iroko to red-brown merbau and deep American walnut.

02

High durability

Many exotic species stand out for high hardness and resistance to intensive use.

03

Natural oils

Teak and iroko have a naturally oily character that affects stability, touch and finish selection.

04

Plank, herringbone and parquet

We match the format to the species and wood batch — from straight plank to herringbone and reproductions of historic parquet.

05

Underfloor heating

Selected species are made in engineered construction and installed on a properly prepared heating system.

06

Renovation after years

We renovate old floors made of merbau, iroko, doussie and other species, including matching missing elements.

Wood species

From classic teak to rare, almost forgotten projects

Not all species have the same availability today. Some are imported more often, others return only for very specific projects.

Properties and use

Durability, colour and character — what separates exotic woods from oak

Exotic species have different properties than European oak. It is worth knowing what this means before making a decision.

01

Natural oiliness

Teak, iroko and doussie contain natural oils — this affects the choice of care products.

02

Hardness

Merbau and ipé are much harder than oak — very durable, but they require suitable tools.

03

Patina over time

Exotic woods change colour over time — teak silvers, merbau darkens. This is a feature, not a defect.

04

Import and documents

Legal import requires FSC or PEFC certificates. We always check batch documents.

Formats and lead times

Sizes similar to familiar floors, availability depends on species

Exotic wood is not ordered like a standard oak plank. Real lead time and available formats depend on the wood batch and import.

With exotic woods we first confirm batch availability, documents and real lead time. Only then do we finalise the format and finish.

One material · one project

Floor, stairs and terrace from the same wood species

Depending on species and batch availability, we can combine an exotic floor with stairs, skirting, thresholds and, in selected projects, also a terrace. The material then leads the interior from the living room to the outdoor zone.

Wrocław and all Poland

From sample and measurement to installation

We select species, construction, format, adhesive and finish as one system. We carry out measurement and installation in Wrocław, Lower Silesia and on projects across Poland and abroad.

Frequently asked questions

Exotic wood floors — FAQ

Key answers about species, underfloor heating, colour change, import and installation.

Is exotic flooring suitable for underfloor heating?

Yes, but not every species and format behaves the same. The safest approach is engineered construction, full bonding and control of temperature and humidity.

Is teak suitable for a bathroom?

Teak has a naturally oily character and good stability, so it is used in bathrooms and wellness zones. Correct substrate sealing, installation and ventilation remain crucial.

Merbau or iroko — which to choose?

Merbau is darker, harder and more red-brown. Iroko has a calmer gold-olive tone and a lighter visual effect.

Does exotic wood change colour?

Yes. UV light and natural ageing deepen or change the wood tone. This is a natural feature, so colour is assessed with future patina in mind.

Can an old merbau or doussie floor be renovated?

Yes. The renovation scope depends on wear-layer thickness and floor condition. Sanding, replacing missing elements and re-protecting the surface are possible.

How long is the wait for exotic flooring?

Lead time depends on species, format, batch availability and import documents. We first confirm the material and only then provide a binding delivery date.

Does Comfort Plus make stairs from exotic wood?

Yes, depending on species and available material we make stairs, treads, skirting and details matched to the floor.

Can a terrace be ordered from the same species?

For selected species, yes. Outdoor use requires different section, installation, ventilation and protection than indoor flooring.

Exotic floors are the most individual part of the offer, but you can compare them with oak planks, herringbone and decorative floors.
